Hi all,
My name is Dave, i live in Nova Scotia Canada. I have been keeping fish since i was 5 and cannot imagine life without an aquarium! Currently i have 3 freshwater aquariums ranging from 6.25 gallons to 75 gallons as well as a 90 gallon pond outside, currently very frozen!!
In October i decided it was time to start a saltwater aquarium up again, i started a 50 gallon tank with some gear and dry rock i had left from last time, upgraded the lights to a 165watt led black box. A month ago after several weeks of a stalled fishless cycle i headed off to by some liverock to kick start the remaining cycle.
This week i was able to add some cleanup crew to clean up the tank to make ready for some fish. Really trying to take my time and be patient this time round. Have to say, i am happy so far, almost through the ugly stage, hair algae is disappearing, no more diatoms and crew is working away. Clownfish is what i promised myself and my kids as the next purchase.
