It has been almost a month since I got my first fish my blue green chromis. Things have been going well and I decided that it was time to get my second set of fish a pair of clowns. I stopped by the local pet store today to see what they had in, my plans was to look for either a pair of Percula or Ocellaris. While I was there I saw some Clarkiis that looked nice. So I picked out two, one of the nicest looking of the larger ones that they had and one of the nicer of the smaller ones that they had. Got them home and started to drip acclimate them. They are now in the tank and after a few hours have started to settle in and are swimming around. Have a few pictures from when they where being acclimated in the bucket and will see about getting some more of them tomorrow. I know that they are common and not the designer clowns but still felt that looked pretty nice.

Here is both of them

Hopefully tomorrow I will be able to get some good pictures of these guys.

Nice catch.. You don't plan on putting any other clowns in with them do you? Clarkiis are really territorial. Either way nice fish and congrats..

those are nice clown fish you got.

Thank you, they have a little bit of white on the top of their tail which the top down pictures do not show. Hopefully will be able to get some good ones of them tomorrow.

Thank you Steven, I am only going to do one pair of clowns in this tank so should be good.

Thanks Tonya, they are definitly cute and starting to swim about more and not hiding so much behind the rocks. Hopefully I will be able to get some decent pictures of them soon. If not will have to see about doing a short video instead.

nice clowns and good pics! I have never had a clarki

Thank you, easy enough to photograph when they are in a 5 gallon bucket, a bit different when they are in the tank. Going to have to play around with the camera and see what I can figure out. They are my first set of clowns and definitly liking how they look.

You sure weren't "clown-ing" around when you said you were looking for some nice fish.

Grat buy and enjoy them.

Thanks, with the place in town it can be hit or miss on what they have.

They are not a dedicated fish store and there salt section is not very large about 400g is what the manager told me. They have a few guys that work there that keep reef tanks and have had some good conversations with them, and than others like today which are not very knowledgable. They have nems that they keep in their tanks which unfortunatly I think most end up dying off since they don't have the lighting to support them. I noticed a few that where really looking bad I mentioned something to the kid who got my fish and could tell that he probably didn't know what I was talking about... So I mentioned something to the manager on the way out. It really is too bad that they don't keep a better system going since the next nearest places in the area are about 30 miles or more in either direction.

Very nice. I have always liked Clarkiis, they are one of my favorite clowns. Good luck with them

Should have some videos coming up shortly. Quality is not all that great on the videos have a lot to learn in that area but do have some nice shots of these guys.
