Hey all. I currently own a 46g 22" cube that I run with a current nova extreme pro 20" t-5 fixture and I am looking at adding some leds for added shimmer. I currently have 2, 12" reef brites that I added to the back using a thin piece of wood with some metal L brackets directly to the fixture as I do not have a canopy but would like to add 2 more of these same fixtures or a set of others and wonder what other creative ways some have done and what lights you used?

I would add pics off my photo bucket account to give you a visual but for some reason I am having a difficult time figuring out how.

I used a couple of the CurrentUSA Truelumen pro led strips on my aquarium with T5 lighting. They helped with color, but I didn't get much shimmer when the T5 lights were on. I think the T5's kind of washed out the LED's with their light spread. I hope this helps.

It seems to me that using a high power flash light during the day is just as ineffective. Sorry if I seem like a smart *** I do not mean to be. But that is an analogy that explains the poor results I got from adding blue leds strips to my ATIs. I think if I were interested in growth and light shimmer at depths greater that the range of the T5, I may get some shimmer down there. But I have not built that unit yet.
