Looking for a All in One about 30-40 gallons.

Looking for a All in One about 30-40 gallons.
Going to be a reef set up with fish, coral and inverts.
Something with Led lighting would be nice.

Suggestions please.

I never thought rear filtration is a good.

Check out Waterbox Aquariums, many designs and styles, all rimless, low iron glass. I personally use a prototype version of the 50 gallon AIO. The rear compartment gives more space than most AIO aquariums, which allows for better equipment options. The drilled tank in the same footprint is outstanding by design. The footprint allows for more scaping space, as there is not a rear compartment, so you have about 6" more tank space, less than the center overflow. So basically the reef version is 24x24x21" and the AIO is the same, but factoring in the rear compartment takes the scape space to 24x18x21". Cheers

I like a sump too and it adds more water volume.

You could always buy the Red Sea E170 and if you want to in the future, add the optional sump and move the skimmer to the sump.

Sump is better, but one win for rear filtration is space. There isn't alot of cabinet space in 30-40 gallons Waterbox or Red Sea Aquariums. You might make it work, but you'll probably have a bunch of stuff outside the cabinet. I require the use of a small Ikea cabinet next to my Reefer 170. If you're in a position where you need everything to fit into a 24x20 or 24x24 footprint, rear filtration has some benefits.

But he also said sump, so I was confused. And really, the Max aquariums are AIO in my opinion.

But Innovative Marine, Red Sea, Waterbox probably account for most of the AIO aquariums. A few Fluval and a rare Cobalt Aquariums. Both IM & Waterbox offer shallow lagoons, Red Sea forces you into a cube like appearance. The Waterbox 40 has an external overflow which really improves in-tank space. Cad Lights exists, but you don't want to go there.

I have a 90 gallon tank that I never set up and will be selling that along with some Chinese LED’s and other stuff because I don’t think I can afford to set up a 90 correctly plus I need something a bit smaller.
I really don’t have the room in my new house for a 90 like I was going to set it up in my old house.

I can see were you came from going rear and a sump sure does take up most of the cabinet.
Can't give me a Cadlights (JMO) and I've got to look into the Waterbox 40 to see about the external overflow

The Waterbox 40.1 does have an external overflow. It is also on sale for $799. (Although, it was recently only $699 with their "oops" sale coupon)

The 40.1 is only around 24G in the display. For a 50G display you would want to go with the 75.2 which has an internal overflow.

IM is also coming out with their Nuvo-EXT line with external overflows. Although, I believe the cabinet and sump is all a separate purchase.

Perfect it’s not, but I still love my Biocube 32. I like the look. I like the rear filter chambers — no tubes and equipment to be seen. I like the lid and the LEDs. AND it stands on a kitchen-type base cabinet that I bought at a bargain price from Habitat for Humanity’s Restore Store. I customized the cabinet myself and made it match the furniture in my den. There is no sump, but as a result, the entire cabinet houses a lot of “fish stuff” that used to be in Rubbermaid bins.
