Can anyone set me in the right direction for a cheap rodi system. I only have a small tank so won’t need a lot

The RO Buddie is pretty good

No. You need an RODI. That one does not have a DI stage. I would also weigh the cost of replacement filters into this purchase. The beauty of traditional filter housing units is the filters are very cheap. Also, while you think you're getting a deal, these units do not come with a pressure gauge, auto shut off, flush valve or TDS meter. They are bare bones units.

I wasn't joking when I said you could build a high end unit for around $100.00, give or take a few bucks. If you can push tubing into a quick connect, you can build one.

How small is your tank? FWIW when I started with my 38 gallon years ago I just had a DI filter then upgraded with and RO unit from AquaFX. Get a system you can easily add on to, but a basic RO/DI with a pressure gauge and TDS meter will be sufficient.

That one but with the DI cartridge. They sell it all together. I think it works well. Depending how much water your making you’ll need to replace the DI cartridge once in a while.

If your worried about tds just buy a meter off amazon to keep track of things and to let you know when you need to swap filters. I have a few tricks I do to keep filters lasting longer if you do decide to purchase it let me know

Btw, I just looked on amazon, they have a 100 gallon version. If I were you I’d spend the extra 14 bucks on that and get tThe 4th chamber.

i bought the 4-stage ro buddy since it was cheaper than the filters for my spectrapure. 0 tds for now in the beginning

At this time I think it would be better to support your LFS and buy one from them. Everyone needs to keep money flowing in our communities. ;)

RO/DI buddy on amazon was $60 as of 2 weeks ago. Bought it before I even bought a tank. Seemed to be too good of a price to pass up.
