Hi guys,
Looking for something to grow acros on instead of live rock. Something like a branchy tree. Its gonna be man made obviously. Anyone know makes sometiing like this? Thanks

Try DIY'ing something... Acrylic rods, some E-Marco cement, a little imagination, and VOILA!!!

Pvc is another option.
And same thing cover in cement.

You are going to want to get a cheap ph tester.

Will let you know when its reef stable and curing is done.

This was pieces of branch rock but can do the same with some reef saver, a hammer super glue and epoxy.

As another idea.

I can’t find any more Tonga branch like this. Do you know anywhere to buy it now?

Look for tank breakdowns. About the only place you are going to find it now. Had i known it was going away i would have bought a lot more ad saved [emoji23]

Thanks for the tag!

Actually, I just sent this message in a PM, so I will leave that information here for all:

I picked up a structure that Paul had listed on the West Mariculture website, but I don’t see the same one any longer. I recall seeing the same one within the last month, though. When I have spoken with him in the past, he said that business has really picked up, so I assume that he’s just selling out of things quicker.

Here is the page that I did purchase it from; the structures there are 15” and larger. However, he does custom work, and he can make anything that you come up with. I do know that the one I bought was not custom; I’ve seen the same structure on his site multiple times.

If you decide to contact him, I suggest doing it via Facebook/Messenger. He’s always been responsive there for me, and it makes sending sketches and photos easier when coming up with ideas for designs.

If you are curious, I think my piece was ~$175, which isn’t bad at all when you consider rock prices. I love that my structure can be disassembled for maintenance and moving. Also, I can turn the shelves to change the look up a bit and make fragging easier.

If you like the structure that I have, just save a photo from my build and send it Paul’s way. He’s been fun to work with. I can’t see myself going another route after having this structure; it’s made maintenance a breeze, and the amount of flow that my display gets as a result of the openness is great.

Here’s a link to my build thread, if you’re interested.

Those are awesome structures, thanks for sharing it! Also thanks for sharing your build thread, I will be watching for sure!
