Hello all,
After long internal fights with what kind of tank I want next, I have decided to go with a cube. I am looking for a 80-135 gallon cube. I would be willing to drive (within a 5 hour drive from Knoxville) preferably low Iron glass on three sides.

Anyone know of one for sale?

Thanks,
Mike

I've been looking for a 90 cube but nothing yet....I keep you in mind if I come across anything.

Good luck trying to find a used one. I looked for 4-5 months before just buying new. Seems like most people hold on to cubes.

I'd contact AM and see what they can offer. I've always been a bit surprised on their prices on new tanks compared to what I can find online. Plus, with the club discount, it is basically tax-free. There's always glass cages LOL.

I also recently looked for a used cube without any success. The only used cubes I could find where smaller and most of them where not even drilled.

I have a 24x24 cube and I am very happy with it but let me give you a few negatives to being a cube owner.

1.) Cabinet space is tight, once you get your sump in you will not have much room, think about building/having someone build an oversize stand.
2.) Limited fish choices, you may have 90 gallons of water but your tank is less than 30" long, some of the more active swimmers may get nervous.
3.) Corner overflows can but difficult work around,..look for a center overflow.
4.) Really hard to get that nice wave action in a square tank verses a longer tank.

Where did you end up buying one? Size? Dimension?

I am in middle TN so I got mine from 7 seas here locally. I have the Marineland 93 which is 30x30x23. I absolutely love it. You can see some pics in the mtrc forum.

I will comment on the above post about issues with cubes. I can get nice waves in mine no problem. I have 2 jw8.

I like smaller fish anyway so that was not an issue for me.

I can see where having a sump under would be a pain. Mine is through my wall and in a stock tank so no issues there for me.

The corner overflow is large and takes up a lot of room. That is the only thing im not happy with but it wasn't a deal breaker either.
