Whatever you do, stay away from Quantaray. They're inexpensive but I have one and really don't like it. Came as a kit lens. I have a Canon Rebel XT body.

Canon 100mm all the way!

^^ +1 Thats what I use and its an awesome lens. I also use a Canon Rebel Xti.

Any one using the 65mm macro and have any pics off hand? My best freind who use to be into reefing and now is a prof photogerpher says it's hands down better then the 100mm macro?

also use the 100mm macro.

its great that one of there better lenses also happens to be one of the cheaper ones.

The Tamron 90mm macro is widely known as the sharpest macro lens. It is also a fair amount less than the cannon 100. One of the only problems with it is that it does not focus internally.

I have the 65mm it is a little more flexible lens, meaning multi use, but for use in aquarium the 100mm macro from canon is the best

65mm macro is the best out there, its more then the 100mm but well worth it if you bank allows it.
