I have had a marine tank for almost 3 yrs now, A couple of yrs before I made the jump I started researching and was using aquarium advice for most of that community feeling. I stopped going to the site a couple of yrs ago because of the drop in quality posts, I tried to go back but it seems as though the numbers of active posters has dropped considerably and so the problem is even worse.
I currently live in Okinawa Japan but will be moving to Tennessee in May. Im very excited for the possibilities within my tank as getting things shipped here are incredibly expense or not possible. There is a severe lack of choices in livestock whether it be fish, coral or invert.

I did not mean for that to post yet, so sorry about the double post but I cannot see how to either edit or delete the post; so I would appreciate any help in that area!

I currently run a jbj 28 nanocube with pc bulbs and will be replacing the hood when we move to house a greater variety of livestock. I have a mertensi capet anemone that has been in my tank since I first started; it was nearly dead in the store and I wanted the 2 clowns but the store would not part the clowns from the nem so I bought it all and one of the clowns died before I left the store and they wouldn't refund (guess where I never bought anything from again). I have gone through 2 coral beauties but my red legged hermit is apparently good at trapping. I saw him gnawing on the first and thought it may have perished through other means, however I saw the second one get caught; the hermit flipped himself upside down and used his small claw to wave a piece of shrimp when the beauty came down for a bite the hermit cut off a dorsal fin with his large claw. I also had a yellow clown goby but it decided to rest on the nem, it was a bad decision. I wanted to replace them however I decided after qt they would only be in my tank for a month or 2 anyhow and decided against it. so for now its a skunk shrimp, 2 clowns, red legged hermit, a bunch of nassarius snails, a few bumble bees, fighting conch, money cowries, a pr of trochus, sea egg, and a buch of zoas (300 heads or so) the nem mentioned before and either a welso or a symphyllia.
nothing is happy with me atm as my son dumped a bunch of food in and then took a net to try and catch the fish knocking everything over... pwc's every other day for a week and hope to get it back in order!

Welcome to R2R!! Can't wait to see some pics of your tank!! You should check out the reef club forums for Tennessee. There are a couple and you should be able to find one for the area that you are moving to.

As far as editing the post, that will come in time. New members can't edit their post, but after a period of time (I think 30 days?) you will have a window of time to be able to edit your posts.

Welcome aboard, I have come to realize R2R is a great place for knowledge in this ever changing Hobby.

Thanks for the welcome everyone, 6 replies in a day... new record! Well maybe not if you count our facebbok group but whatever right?
@seahorsekeeper, thanks for the heads up on the editable posts as well as the Tennessee reefers club. I actually found Middle Tennessee Reefers Club before joining, and looked a bit deeper after joining. It looks as if there is also a Western Tennessee club but almost no posts within the last yr so I'll likely try to get in the other.

I'll get an fts up soon, My 4yr old has my camera hidden in a toy box i think (it's not a dslr so while not happy to be without a camera its not much to replace it either).

I need some with my freshwater tank. I recently bought a green spotted puffer and I know they need snails to file down their teeth. Butt how many do they need and how do I go about feeding the snails. Should I just throw them in or is their a method. All replys are appreciated.
