I’m currently looking for a good microscope and need recommendations. I’m on a tight budget so I’d like something well under a hundred dollars if I can help it. I’m not trying to look at specific things under the microscope, I just want to look at things in general.

I got this off of Amazon for $40. It's a kids 'toy' and a feel a bit "plasticky" but was enough to satisfy my need for identifying algae types and allow some pictures via my phone through eye piece. Be a good start to see if you want to go bigger.

AmScope 120X-1200X

And some pics/vid taken during a dino outbreak (again, just eyepiece to phone cam without really trying too hard). Surprising what a cheap little thing can do. IMG_20200701_135701925.jpg

Sweet!!! One thing I wanted was to be able to take photographs through the eye piece. I’ll add this one to my list. Thanks for the help ;)
