Im having some problems with my current lights right now and i was thinking of trying something new maybe. I was wondering if anyone has had the chance to try these, i like what i have been reading alot but would like to know some other peoples thoughts and how the compare to ecotech. I like how is the bulbs and optics are easy to change and I've also read that the customer service is really great.

I haven't tried one of these yet, but I have talked to a could people who have. I'll tell you what they've told me.

Color mix is the biggest strong suit. They have the most adjustable spectrum on the market and the ability to quickly switch out diodes for other colors.

Their mounting hardware looks good once it's together but it's a pain to work with.

Compared to fixtures with similar optics, they tend to look a little spotlight like.

Overall, everyone I've talked to is very happy with them.

Hope this helps.

I have 3 P-series and i love it. There are a couple things that i really like about it.

1. Modular - I can move it whenever i want, tilt it any degree.
2. Cable Management - You can't see it
3. Different LED spectrum - with all the new LED coming out from maxpect you can mix and match to any combination you want.
4. Programming Mode - I love the cloud and programming mode where you have your LED slowly go down to 1 and back up to 100

Edit: 70 degree is standard, but you can do 40 or 100 too

what size tank are you running these on? How does everything look in the tank I know some leds make some colors look bad. What degree are you using are you getting any spot like effect where the color isnt blending?

I love my P-series, I have had them for 1 month so it is still early, but great impression so far.
My tank is 48x28x20 and I am running 4 units with 100* optics and the coverage is great. I have a mixed reef with a couple clams, and primarily SPS and LPS. I don't think I will ever put 70* or 40* on my tank, the 100* provide more than enough power for 20"depth.
There is no spotting effect from the LED's not blending.
I don't see any spot light, I do have 1 per foot so the lighting is pretty tight.
The colors look great, you can really play around to find the right color temp to make the corals pop.
Aside from having the new XML Leds, the 400-410nm Leds, modular, easy to change optics, I think its the nicest looking fixture out there, especially with the units angled at larger show pieces in the tank, it really stands out.

About the mounting, really plan well when you first set it up. Place the cables and the cable holders in the exact spot you want them before you link it all together. It is a bit akward, but looks good when its all finished.

Thanks Dave that is some great info how do you like the sunrise and sunset features and have you noticed and colors that dont look right or that it makes some colors look bad ive just heard thats a common pronblem with leds but everything i have read on these they seem great

I don't use the preset sunrise/sunset at all on mine. I went into manual mode where you can play around with the color groups, and picked what I like for the different stages in the day. The controller automatically ramps the light up and down between two points you set, rather than it going directly from one point to another. Great but this was not well illustrated in the manual, I think that's why some people had problems with the controller.

I was a bit surprised the UV leds are is in the same color group as the 3000k, I don't know why I just assumed it would be with the atinics. This is pretty minor, and can really easily be changed anyhow.
The good thing with these, if there is a color of LED you don't like, it is very easy to change it.

I was originally going to get Radions, one thing you have to consider in the comparison is its not a 1 on 1 comparison. The radion has twice the wattage, and a much higher price than a single mazarra. When I was comparing it was 4 Mazarra or 2 Radion. The store I went to also had both lights side by side on their display tank.

Although I really like the radion, I liked the coverage, style and features of 4 mazarra a little more personally. I could have gotten away with 3 mazarras but there would be dark spots in the tank.

It did set me back a bit more, but even if I got the Radion, I would have bought a custom rail or mounting rack. I really don't like the bar connecting two fixtures together on a hanging kit, or two hanging kits.

thank you you have mentioned alot of my questioned i actually had and im also comparing them to the radions right now could you post a pic of your tank and of your lights please
