Looking for a protein skimmer

Hi guys I have an IM NUVO 40 and am looking for a protein skimmer for my tank. I accidentally set up the tank so close to the wall that it's not possible now with all the water and rock in it to move it out further which eliminates the HOB option... But I do have two small chambers in the back. Would that be big enough to fit a small protein skimmer? And what brand would that be and size? I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, I'm new to this

I believe a tunze 9004 will work with the NUVO 40. I run one in my jbj 45 and it works really well.

Yes it runs in the back chamber it's not hob.

My friend ran the hydor one in his Nuevo 3 worked great but was delicate. There was a little airline that would link if not carful. But it skimmer very well and never ovwrflowed
