Need help with locating a good, inexpensive refugium light that's about 22-23" long by 7-8" wide. Anyone have any that they recommend?

Why does the fixture need to be those specific dimensions? Posting the dimensions of the area you want to light might be more useful.

You should be able to find a lot of grow lights on Amazon. I went this route and got a mars hydro sp150, which may or may not be considered cheap.. worked great, and I had a 65 (36×18×24) gallon tank full of densly packed chaeto growing under it.

Since then, I've moved on to a 5 gallon bucket refugium with a Kessil h160, which also grows chaeto with ease but in a much smaller area.

If you want really cheap, I also had no trouble growing freshwater plants under plain old 6500k CFL lights.

If it has to be specific size, build it yourself.

Bumping this up for recommendations. Are you looking for recommendations on LED's or T5's or either option?

LEDs preferrably.

I'm trying to cover a specific area in my sump. Haven't been able to find anything on Amazon that fits that size. I think I may just keep the one light I have over the refugium and just add another small Kessil (we already have it) over the new sock chamber that we're going to use for chaeto as well. I'll post a pic after we try and rig it.

Thanks everyone!

I just tossed my chaeto and turned off the grow light yesterday. Carbon dosing feeds the coral bacteria and the fuge seemed to help cyano colonize the main display.
These work well

I don't know what you might consider inexpensive but I've been using the Zetlight E200 on a slightly larger refugium portion of my sump. I harvest close to a 5 gallon bucket every month or two.
