Looking for a "showpiece" fish for a 65 gallon

Hello, I have a 65 gallon sps dominated reef tank. Im looking for a large fish that would look good in my reef. I have a sailfin blenny, diamond goby, and 3 Talbot's damselfish. Angelfish are off limits because of the sps.

Melanurus wrasse. Eats like a pig, will grow quick, should max out in size in a 65 gal. Always active until bed time, sand bed is a must.

My sand bed is 1.5". Is that enough?

Both the melanurus I had did fine with 1.5" substrate but I eventually rehomed them both because the two I had spent most of their time hiding, coming out to eat swim a lap or two and then go bury themselves back in the sand. I'd go with a wrasse that is in a different family, such as lubout's or christmas, bc you'll get to see them more at least that was my expierence. Also a flame angel or coral beauty wont eat your sps and are so vibrant and make good showpiece fish

I guess something I should've asked is: Do you have a lid? If not, I'd probably be more inclined to go with a type that is less prone to jumping.

If budget is not an issue then I would say a Madagascar Flasher wrasse they are beautiful but $$$

My melanurus comes out every morning around 8:30am and into the sand at 8:30pm like clock work.

1'' should be deep enough for any wrasse in a 65. Only needs to be barely deeper than the wrasse is thick and I doubt any wrasse will grow bigger 1/2'' to 3/4'' thick in that size tank.
