I have those, there’s not enough flow. Tried to make my own, using PVC Pipe and my Miter Saw, succeeded in ruining a blade.![]()
I’m looking for these Strainers, but in a bigger size. I got them from an Aquaculture supplier, but I have lost the contact info.
The Flat Strainers are terrible about moving water. When I had my 90 gallon up and running, I moved my return pump out of the sump, due to the heat it produce. Also that flat one produced a whirlpool, that pulled air into the pump. That’s why I bought the long clear strainers. I’ve looked and looked on the internet for those strainers and can’t find them. I know they were from an Aquaculture supplier. How about a flat strainer? They certainly will allow for more flow. I use one as a strainer for my full siphon line intake in my Modular Marine ghost style overflow set up.
