I currently have a 90 gallon "reef" tank. Well, I started adding corals slowly over the past 9 months. I am looking to add some additional colors in the way of fish and would like some stocking advice. the tank contains a 1 spot Foxface, a pair of Black Clarkii Clownfish, 3 Dispar Anthias, a Bangaii Cardinal, a Neon Dottyback, and a what I believe to be a Tribal Blenny. I think the tank needs some blue or green, or something. Want to start researching candidates to add, and I wanted to get some advice from you guys and not rely upon the LFS inventory.

Thanks in advance!!

Green chromis or a blue chromis.

If you want to take a chance on "with caution", a cherub angel or a coral beauty.

You could also chance one of the least aggressive damsel fish, the yellow tailed damsel.

I know you said blue or green but my first two are still my favorite, the Coris Wrasse and the Royal Gramma. The wrasse is brilliant yellow and is very active. The gramma is brilliant yellow and purple--just beautiful. Not as active but still very good. And these guys never miss a meal!

Blue gudgeon/blacktail goby (same thing) perhaps? They're one of the most blue fish I know of, are reef-safe, and peaceful.

yellow tail damsels stay small and are probably the least aggressive among damsels. I have one and he doesn't bother anything. beautiful blue fish.

Well with a neon dottyback he will kill a wrasses or jawfish.. Neon are mean as hell to certain new fish once they are established.. You may have gotten away with it if these were the first fish introduced but not anymore.

I know I have one right now and tried a jaw fish and the thing hid till it starved, It also did it to a new wrasse it just kept hunting for it.. If I could catch him he would be gone.. They will harass any weaker fish..

With him you want be able to add any basslets, most wrasses, firefish, jawfish, pretty much any meek fish or any fish of similar type...

They are evil fish once established.. I been in this hobby a long time and never knew this till I got one.. Now I hear this from lots of people the neon dottyback are evil..
I have so few fish because I cant add anything to the tank.. I bought a trap to trap but I doubt it would work on him but now I am setting up a new tank so he is out of here when I transfer.

You will need something aggressive like a tang or angel.... they also seem fine with neon gobies..

The Neon Dottyback seems to be a good neighbor so far. . . but I will definitely watch him. I have normally chosen fish that can hold their own (for the most part) just in case the Clarkiis start to get a bit rough. I am leaning toward the damsels at this point, although I am still searching. I love the jawfish, but i am not going that way. Love the angels, but I am nervous about them nipping at the corals. Would love to hear more about other peoples experiences with the neon dottybacks and reef safe dwarf angels.
