Does anyone know of an online retailer that sells Angler fish? I've already checked LiveAquaria and NYA.

Diver's Den has some pictus for sale. To be honest, I've had terrible long term success with Wartskins though. I've tried maybe 6 over the years, and none lived longer than 8 months for me.

Same, I even gave one it's own frag tank without much flow.. he ate for 9 months and one day stopped and died a week or 2 later ;(

in your experience, do painted anglers live longer than wartskin anglers?

I've had issues with all anglers to be honest. I think I tend to overfeed (they are so cool to watch!) and they then are prone to developing fatty liver disease. Painted have done better for me, but I'm still not thinking I've ever had an angler live more than two years....I just looked through my records. In the past 20 years I've had ten anglers. One striatus lived three years, the rest all lived less than two.
