I’ve got a mixed reef 425xl (88 gallon display) that has been set up for 18 months with minimal issues. The current fish have been in the tank for over a year. I just set up a quarantine tank and I’m ready for some new additions. Current fish are 3 Clowns, 3 Pyjama Cardinals, Yellow eye Kole tang, and a Christmas wrasse. Everyone gets along fine. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

All is good, and I’m thankful for that. Ive been thinking it would be nice to have a little more fish action.

Sorry, just responding to your title.

Maybe a small tang like a kole tang would be a nice addition?

I was thinking maybe a couple of Chromis or a Basslet?

You could look at one of the Dwarf Angels. Some are very colorful. Their hit or miss on bothering some corals but I've been pretty lucky as long as I don't add corals with to much Green.

I been thinking of mid to upper level swimmers. Adding more action for the grand kiddos that are over often.

Midas Blenny, Vanderbuilt Chromie (seriously overlooked fish), scribbled rabbitfish, spotted blue jawfish.

I had a lantern basslet for a period of time. I really liked the color pattern on the fish and it appeared to get along with everyone very good. Until our scarlet pin striped wrasse decided it had to go. I would like to get another but I won't add it to the tank with the scarlet wrasse.

I haven’t seen the Vanderbilt before, pretty cool looking fish. Thanks for the heads up.

Here's a pic I just took of mine swimming around you can see his barnacle home at the bottom near the torch. My tank is 30" deep.

Do you think my Kole tang would get along with a Yellow tang? I thought the similar body shape would be an issue
It’s sort of a luck thing, they may be fine with each other or they may fight. Maybe go with something else then
