Pictures from FW dip today was about 1.5/2 minutes "grain of sand" appearing thing is on anal fin almost on the tip he's now back in the DT. And will be monitoring closely None of he other fish are showing signs. And this was supposed to be the weekend I added the sump

You are right, the copepods and amphipods won't make it through sponges. If you have ich, the fish will need to be removed and treated. You could try the tank transfer method and the DT needs to be empty for number of days. If you think your tang looks thin, try a variety of fresh, frozen and dry food to fatten him up. Look for frozen foods high in fatty acids like fish eggs/roe. Keep the seaweed available every day when it comes in. Recommend offering food in smaller portions several times a day encouraging eating.

Great pic of your husky!

Good Luck! And Happy Reefing!

What would you suggest for allowing the copepods and amphipods to flow to the DT

Btw the white spec on the first pic on the tail fin is The camera

You can go for having them breed faster in the refugium and living in the DT than you lose them to outflow into the filtration. Be prepared to feed them phytoplankton.

@AlexChef Is that large brown spot still present on the fish? Looks like more than just a normal YT stress spot.
