I’m in the process of starting my first saltwater tank! It’ll be a mixed reef in a 150 tall (48x24x30). The red box is a rough outline of the tank, it’s a couple inches short to be safe and leave room for glass clearance. The photos are a few days old, I’ve since raised the central shelf bridge higher so it’s around the 1/2 point (15 inches off sand). The left structure reaches the the 2/3 point and the right piece reaches 1/2. I want to leave some swimming room for larger fish. Do I have enough caves, maybe too much rock work going on? What are everyone’s thoughts?

I will be following what you do with those great dimensions, so best wishes and keep the photos coming!

I would make it much taller. You will most likely need more rock.

Changed how the central bridge is supported, raised the whole right side up, and made the left side taller. Much happier with the added height, I agree it was too short in the first photos. The last photo is where the tank is going to go!
