I recently purchased a 140 gallon tank domensions are 72*24t*18. It also came with a stand but I dont think its big enough for a sump plus skimmer. The inside dimensions of stand are 67*22t*13. All measurements for inside cabinet are to the edges with no room for play. Any ideas on what to do? Or any sump and skimmer that will fit? Or should I build a new stand or buy a new stand?

It can be done, but it will always be tight.
There are some decent low profile skimmers out there.
Personally I would avoid those headaches and build a new stand, but that's easy for me to say, I'm a carpenter, so I guess it depends on your skills and budget.
I like to save money by buying used gear, those restrictions make that harder to do, or harder to find.

Well I would say I have ok skills as a carpenter. I would like to build a metal stand but no welder.

Yeah so I cant set this thing up till I figure out the stand situation. Anyone know of stand builders or a place to buy them cant seem to find any. Checked out drfostersmith.com petsmart and petco

Online retailer would be very costly. Your best bet is to search your local reef club or even an lfs if they have their own dedicated cabinet/stand maker.

Also wondering what size drain line and pump I should use? Will be drilling the tank but need to know what I should use first.
