the one branching one has gorgeous green tips.

The other is growing in a dome shaped plate.

Thanks folks

First is some type of green montipora and second looks more like a stylophora to me however it's kind of bleached looking

Monti and Stylo

first one is an acro. Forest green looking one. Cant identify the species because it hasnt yet branched. Second one is deffinitly a stylo

Do Acros grow in a plating form ever? this one definitely has grown around the frag-plug it's on and now is in a sort of an upside down bowl shape. very interesting.

thanks folks!

do you say that because the stem's polyps are yellow/white and the tip's are green?

it doesn't look bleached to me in real life (except for where it is attached to the plug). It looks like the coloration is green where the tips are and yellow at the older growth. It also looked exactly like this at the shop (Tongs in huntington) and they had tons of other gorgeous SPS in the tank with it.... but what do i know... new to SPS. could also be my metal halide screwing up my Iphone...been meaning to look up how to take good pictures under this lighting....

@MarsRover yes acros can grow however they want especially in captivity. The stylo looks like it was just fragged and the "brighter inner" parts where just shaded from the colony
