Noticed this a while back, but it’s doubled in size in just 2 months. I think it’s some kind of sponge? But should it stay or go?

It’s about 10-12mm across, for size reference.

Nope. Not vety big at all. And they'll grow aroung rock. They're squishy. Like sponge, only with pricklies that will stick in the skin.

They're very fragile, they'll fill the gap maybe but not much more than that
