Its brownish color, maybe a little green. Broad smooth blades with those little light spots arranged in rows.

Just wondering if it should stay or go.

Thanks r2r!

Yea I'm thinking Dictyota. The morphology looks about the same as well. IS that pink their natural color or is that from a refugium light?

No that red hue is from refuge light. It is actually an opaque brown/olive color under white lights, with those spots a lighter shade. The photo is zoomed in and those spots look like stripes with the naked eye.

I think the dictyota ID looks pretty good, though I haven't found a species that is the same.

Assuming dictoya is correct, should I remove it from my fuge?

I would let it grow...got any tangs?? They'd love it as a treat .

I hand fed a little piece to my display today and my fox face absolutely devoured it. He ate it so fast nobody else got a taste.

In light of that, I'm going to let it grow for a while as I dont think it will be a threat to my display.

Thanks for the ID !
