looking for beginner fish that would work for 30 gallon

Midas blenny is one of my favorites always greeting people and has a unique swimming motion.

Actually this is a great
Look into the ora captive bred ones. Think they just restocked them recently. Readily eats mysis right out of the bag and swims all around the tank during the day. Wont bother any corals. Only thing to monitor is they don’t like high flow so I’m not sure if that’s the kind of system you have.

right now my system is bare bones just what i need for cycling and most of it will change once the cycling is done

are there any gobies that might work? as i find they are pretty common in tide pools
Most gobies will work but not all of the ones you find in rock pools or look dull are available to the hobby.

update: I'm going to be upgrading to a 75g so my options have opened up quite a bit
(opinions on Sargent majors? yes I know they're damsels)
This opens you up to a few options;
How about some Wrasses? Things like Halichoeres trispilus or Halichoeres pallidus. Wrasses are known for colour but there’s some out there that are also quite bland but still pretty.
Maybe some other species of Damsel (Seargent Majors become so much worse than clowns). Things like Chrysiptera talbolti or Chrysiptera rollandi. They stay colourful as juveniles but then dull to browns as adults.

The lagoon shrimp goby will work however I wouldn’t do any Valenciennea species in a tank less than a 4’x2’ floor space.

tank size:

75 gallons

current list? :

rock flower anemone x1
1.5" snails x3
("turbo snails")
tiger conch x1
porcelain anemone crab x1
aiptasia eating filefish x1
lagoon shrimp goby x1
falco hawkfish x1

questions:

could I fit a pom pom crab in this list?
is there room on this list for a small school of something?
