That link might help you, from the above picture, the rock looks a little "stacked" and not "natural", maybe chiseling out the part that meet so you have less of a seam?
Looks like a good Start. I agree it looks a little "forced" if that makes sense. When I'm doing an aquascape I also try to keep in mind what it's going to look like when it has corals growing on it and has been in the tank a while. A good bit of advice I was given about aquascaping is that when you hit a "wall" and are stuck walk away for a little bit to clear your head and return to it with a fresh set of eyes. Best of luck!
It's going into a 75 gallon. I'm just waiting for the glue to dry. That's only forty lbs. I'm not sure I will be able to squeeze 75 lbs of rock in it. I'll keep posting pictures tomorrow.
I have 90+ in my 90g, porous rock, and it is still pretty open with good flow, open sand and swim room. I'm trying to say there's a bit more than simple aesthetics
I had 50 pounds in a 29 lol you can easily fit 75 in a 75. but if you don't want that much rock in your main display you can put the extra rock in your sump.
no problem. be sure to rinse the rock really well before you put it in your tank. there is going to be an insane amount of rock dust on it. just when you think you have it all off, theres more lol
