Trying to get something looking good for my first large aquascape. This is in a bit of a corner, so I'm trying to build up the corner-side to be higher with more rock and the opposite side more open and free for viewing. The last photo makes it look like the rock is resting against the back glass, but it's not, it's just behind the overflow.

Feedback appreciated!

I like the “high to low” look. :)

cant wait to see what it looks like filled up.

Remember that the rock is only the base, picture the type of corals that you want and how they grow and keep that in mind.

It looks ok, i will try to put the lower structures closer to the front in order to have a little more view of depth

Also consider space for maintenance (scrap glass, stirr substrate, etc)

I love it. Question is: How do you like it? When it comes down to it, you're going to be the one looking at it every day.

Great idea about moving the smaller structure up a bit. My main concerns are the height without glueing, flow obstruction, and the lack of larger holes on the larger structure. The rocks are pretty darn solid without anything holding them together right now, and I'd like the option to move some around without physically breaking them.

How about bridging the last and second last islands on the right, instead of the 2nd and third last? Then pull the third last rock to the front to break up the mass off rock on the left

Looks good to me. One thing to maybe consider is making sure you have access to all areas of the tank you will need to. My previous 2ft cube tank I had stacked up with rock in the corner, whenver something feel down behind it was a nightmare to get or i couldnt get it at all. Also getting flow behind it was hard to stop build ups.

My current design i have moved away from the rear wall and i find it easier to maintain. I also feel it gives more space for the fish to swim since they can swim 'around' the rock work rather then only back and forwards in front of it.
