I am setting up a Waterbox 20 gallon cube. I have never run an all in one tank before, and have always had a sump with skimmer and refugium. I am wanting to avoid a skimmer for the time being, but I also want the ability to house more than 2 fish. So, I am trying to figure out the best media to run in the back of the waterbox, and when to add it (before, during, or after my cycle)
I am going to have at least 30 lbs of dry rock and a couple inches of sand in the tank. I don't want to use the bioballs that come with the tank, but I will use the carbon. So I initially was thinking Carbon, Marinepure, and something else, but I am open to suggestions, and need help figuring out what to run.
Thanks in advance.
