Looking for fish Blue fish ideas

Hey,
I’m looking for an idea for a bright blue fish for a 4’ 75g tank.
Can be non Reef safe.

Until now I did the growing out a blue tang thing, and then had it rehomed.
But I’m done going through the cycle of having to keep on bringing in new ones, it’s too stressful.

I want something that’ll be able to live its full life here. And preferably not a damsal (unless it’s not one of the standard ones..)

Any ideas welcome

coral beauty angel
flameback angel
cherub angel
bicolor angel
mandarin dragonet
maybe a blue throat trigger, I think it would outgrow your tank tho

Because I had an Emperor and a Queen, but they outgrew the tank relatively fast.

Also, I plan on having a Flame angel which I assume would be fine with it.

I have a yellowbelly damsel in my 50g. Read online they can be territorial sometimes, but mine has been getting along great with clowns and tangs

Blue is sort of uncommon. Besides damsels, there isn't a ton of options.

Some of the Toby puffers, genus Canthigaster have quite a bit of bright blue markings. C. solandri maybe

Dimensions of a tank make a huge difference. Your best fish for blue are in the angels - Coral Beauties are a good smaller option, especially if you are concerned about size.

IME, as long as the tank is 4’ long it should be suitable for most medium angels - Regals, Genicanthus, smaller Pomacanthus, Chaetodontoplus and so on.

You said no damsels unless it’s a less common one. How about the Starki?

Not my image. Love this fish. Looks like a dwarf Angel, relatively peaceful and not very large so it will do well in your tank size.

Cleaner wrasse? Blue spot jawfish (if your temperature is on the low side)? It's only a little blue, but a Springeri pseudochromis?

My Melanarus Wrasse is the most beautiful fish I've ever had. It's mostly blue but a lot more.

Ok first of all thanks so much everyone!
This is a treasure trove of info

So yeah my goal it to replace my hippo tang with something similar color wise.
And I don’t want to just get another baby hippo and grow him out then sell him when it gets too big for the tank, because it’s not fair to the fish or my stress levels lol

I actually have a Mandarine which I love. And had a Bicolor Angel for a year and half before I lost it. But the bicolor doesn’t have that same blue vibrancy color wise.

Chromis and damals do have the color but are either aggressive or very fresh water looking

But the starki looks cute and the cleaner wrasse is a good choice too.

I wanted something more to the dwarf angel size.. but that’s harder to find.
I loved my Emperor when I got it as a baby (as well as when it transitioned.)

Really interesting about those Watanabei and a couple other larger angels.
I figured the large angels were out because suggested size is 125 and up for the smallest of them.
But yeah I see they don’t get that big compared to some of the others that can go 2+ feet in the wild..

IME, Springeri Damsels aren’t the least bit aggressive. I’ve got 2 currently in my 80 gallon and aside from chasing each other on rare occasions, they are model citizens.

I vote Solar Wrasse. I have one in a 75 gallon. Guidelines say 90 gallon, but only diff between a 75 and a 90 is 3” in height.

He‘s my favorite in my tank - curious, social, always out and about. Not a scaredy cat like my One Spot Foxface or Whitetail Bristletooth Tang.
