I'm interested in any fish suggestions for my BioCube 32. Tank currently contains a Banggai cardinal and a watchman goby, along with some assorted LPS. I plan to add a clown (species undecided as of now) at some point, but am holding that for last or nearly-last due to aggression concerns. I would like a neon dottyback, but am concerned that that may be too aggressive a species in a small tank with peaceful fish already established. I'd love to identify a few other colorful, peaceful fish that could go in this tank and get along with everybody. Bonus points if I can get them captive-bred. Any suggestions?

in such a small tank stay with perc and osc. Firefish, clown gobies, royal gramma, chalk bass, tobacco bass are good ones in my opinion

i think an orchid dottyback would be a better dottyback choice; however, I'm with @sfin52 and i'd probably just do a basslet instead

there are some peacefulish damsels you could do too. springers and azure usually have solid reviews on the peaceful front. i have a springers that my bangaii cardinal bullies around.

also check out some blennies, they're entertaining fish

my benghi bullies my three yellow tails .

Yellow Assesor, Two spot blenny, Pygmy Geometric Hawkfish, ORA Radial Filefish or just the ORA Aiptasia FF.

Clowns are damsels ;)

Technically, yes, although they are generally better tank mates than your run of the mill damsels (particularly the occ and perc varieties).

@the OP, be aware that Firefish can be super skittish and timid and are easy targets for more assertive fish. Steer clear of the Dottybacks as a whole (Orchid could be okay but still a bit of a gamble). IMHO Basslets give a similar shape and color to the firefish and Dottybacks but are much better able to hold their own without being overly aggressive and be more visible than Firefish in general. I also agree that the Assessors would be visible and very unique fish.

+1 on Royal Gramma and clown gobies. Neons are very aggressive in my experience, but a tank raised orchid might work.

I was just being a smarta$$.

I agree with Jesterrace, Firefish are super skittish, mine is under a rock and out of sight about 80% of the time. I'm not even sure what the heck he is eating as he disappears the minute I walk up to feed.
