Hi everyone,
I have had my tank for about 4 years and have learned a lot by making mistakes. Have been pretty good with the zoos, shrooms and green star polyps but would like to move forward into SPS and LPS. I have a pretty basic setup 95G bow front, 20 gal Refugium with Magic Mud, protien skimmer, 2x Kessil 15000k LEDs and 2 powerheads (800G and 300G). I use a 12 hours light cycle on my LEDS and have no moonlights (want to add). I feed fish daily with 1mm pellets and coral food twice a week. I have been doing 15g water changes using my own RO water and instant ocean aquarium salt every other weekend. I do not use a sock in my refugium.

I will be looking for how to move forward into the world of SPS and LPS corals. SO any help/advice I can get or find is a big bonus. I'll try not to overwhelm you all with dumb questions like when do I switch to reef salt?

Thanks in advance for all your help

First off a BIG WELCOME to R2R, no dumb questions here so ask away about anything reef related or ??? What are your water parameters ie; Cal Alk and Mg ? You should not necessarily need a change in salt from I/O, I and others here have used it for decades. You may want to add some flow as in higher output powerheads at some point.

Cheers, Todd
