Three weeks ago I got this coral:

I have never seen it’s polyps. Day or night. I’ve dipped it about once a week (coral rx) since I got it. I can not find any AEFW or Red Bugs in the coral rx dip.

This afternoon I set up a small holding tank for the frag, even though that might be useless since if it does have black bugs then they have had ample time to infect my other corals.

Since that picture the coral is now in that tub with a small power head and heater.

What would you do? There are 18ish sps frags in the tank. I have a mandarin and multiple shrimp as well as a refugium.

I am concerned a bayer dip will kill everything in my DT if I just dip the coral and it makes it into my DT.

NO3 12ppm
Phos .04-.06
Alk 10
Cal 480
Mag 1400
Salinity 35 ppt

Would love some advice on how to handle this situation.

I’m not sure. It’s hard with out serious magnification to know. I haven’t seen anything other than copepods come out in the dips.

It's a tiny nub of a freshly cut piece that's been dipped over and over. I wouldn't put my polyps out either LOL. Coral RX won't do anything for red white or black bugs. You need Interceptor for that (technically you need the active ingredient in Interceptor which is Milbemycin Oxime). If you can get your hands on some Dr. G's dip, or get some Interceptor or the generic version which is much cheaper called Milbeguard, you can try treating it in your little QT tank. Otherwise I would just give it some time without dips. The tissue looks healthy.
