Looking for ID on pest

I have no idea what this is I have been noticing it around my tank hasn’t seemed to cuase any damage looking for an ID on it

Looks like pineapple sponges - harmless filter feeders; they're common in newer tanks and frequently boom then bust in population, going away on their own in time.
