Hi All, I just moved to a new house and transfter my existing tank to a new JBJ 65 with new apex. Right now all the apex stuff is in the cabinet with all the wires dosers probes all over the place. The issue is, right now there's no sump in the cabinet but I do plan to get one, so ---

1) if I have sump and all my apex stuff in the same cabinet, how much is moisture a concern? If you have your control board in the same as the sump cabinet, how did you mitigate the moisture with the apex electronics?

2) the other option is to put the apex control board out side of the sump cabinet but I can't think of a way to make it "look nice" with the overall living room decor. Below is what it looks like now. The right side (where you see a piece of a rack now) will soon be replaced with the chaise end of a sofa sectional that'll be delivered later. The left side is empty for now. I thought about getting another small cabinet/stand to put the apex in on the left side but felt that will make this whole side of the room look uneven/awkward.

If you have a similar setup id live to see some pictures of your room to get some inspiration.

Thanks

I have a Red Sea 750, so the "electronics" portion is separated by a panel and I've got the equipment itself mounted inside an Adaptive Reef cabinet. For mounting and organization all your gear, something like an Adaptive Reef Panel might work best as you can mount it directly to one side of the cabinet - giving you room for dosing containers, your sump, etc. Moisture isn't a concern in my cabinet, but I do have large slots in the back of the cabinet for air flow and I also run a dehumidifier in the fish room.

Thanks! Did not know about this, if I were to go with in-cabinet option I was gonna diy a board but this definitely is an easier option, esp with the electronic already encapsulated. Air flow inside the cabinet is still an issue. Maybe ill add a fan.
Open it up and let's see with pictures, I'm new also but shopping around for my next setup
I'm at my old place now and won't be back to new place until Friday. I'll take a pic then. Its a big mess now with wire, doser tube, bottles, everywhere.

I've seen a few setups that mount it to a pull-out panel (Red Sea makes one for their tanks) for easy access.

Here you go, it ain't pretty but I think I'm going to get a custom in cabinet control board after the craziness of the move settles, and partition it probably 1/3 2/3 and fit the sump on the other side with either some kind of seal and/or add more air circulation to alleviate both overheating and moisture
