When I bought my 700 gallon tank I thought one of my 180s was sold. Well after several failed attempts I'm just gonna keep it!

Trying to decide what would be cool to put in there. 700 has a ton of tangs. So no tangs. Either leaning towards predator tank (Lionfish, grouper, trigger, eel)

Or I'm thinking of going complete opposite and doing a ton of small colorful fish... I love anthias but they are so finicky. What do you guys think? Any cool ideas?

I'm up for either FOWLR (predator) or LPS/softies

Congrats on a 700g monster!

Join my club — go for nem-dominant tank! I got 3 massive carpets (red, green, blue) and 4 RBTAs on my 180. ;)

Not against it! There is a massive blue carpet at my lps for 1k. I look at it every time I go in there haha

You have any pics?

My 180 tank, still wip. You can see the build thread for detailed updates. I’ve just scored 2 Colorado Sunbursts yesterday — phenomenal color!

Nice! My only reason I wouldn't go that route is I'm looking for easy. My big tank whips my butt daily haha

Ditto. Nem tanks are easy. In fact, my SPS-dominant tank is easier. Once dialed in, I just clean the glass and skimmer.

I would go mini lions. Eels groupers etc. I just took 2 lions out of a 300 cuz they got too big and put them in our lagoon.
careful which triggers , many get aggressive with age
