Looking for ideas for a fuge light

I'm trying to get away from the shop light fixture. I have one on my current tank, but running a CFL bulb. My new tank is a 24x24x20 cube so I'm looking for something sleek and low profile to conserve on space. I may try one of the PAR38 bulbs, or maybe even the Reed Breeders Fuge-lite but still looking at ideas. If I go that route I'm probably going to put it on a goose neck or flood light fixture so I can aim the light into the fuge.

Ik what you mean to have the sleek look but I had one of those small LED fuge lights and i wasnt getting growth nearly as I am now, Here is a more recent picture I took today that other picture was an old one that i took around 4-5 months ago. Macro algae algae went crazy and ended up tossing it out haha, but I kept the Chaeto and like i said every 1-2weeks I'm pulling a soft ball size to a football size of chaeto out.

Do you use it? Not seeing any kelvin information.

I'm in the middle of my build. But I will be. Someone on another forum is and says it grows his chaeto pretty good. The fact that it's LED and waterproof is a plus in my book.

I saw a post from Aquanerd that buildmyleds is making fuge fixtures. I haven't had a chance to really dig into it yet, but certainly going to give them a look. They're a new vendor from what little I have found. They have an 18" model that might work. Just need to do some more research and get PAR info if possible and find out what LEDs they are using.

This one works very well for me. Wave Point® Technology

I use the 10k 12" one and trim chaeto about every 2 weeks.

That fixture is actually easy on the eyes. Kind of reminds me of the old ADA fixtures in a way with the curved appearance. I'll have to take a closer look at them. I see they do offer a 6500k version as well, but keep these in mind. BTW what are the dimensions of it? I see the larges is 12" wide. Whats the front to back measurement? My fuge is kind of narrow and long.

i got the finnex fuge ray about 2 weeks ago , def tell a difference . chaeto loving it

Do a search for "LED floodlight" and you should find lots of these guys for sale:

10 or 20 watts would probably be sufficient. (Will run at more like 5 or 10 watts, FYI.)

Perfect for the sump as they are designed for outdoor use.

Nothing beats a PAR38 5500K bulb for a fuge. Seriously, I had a small handful of cheato and it turned into a quart size mass in about 2 weeks!

I'm leaning towards the 18" buildmyleds.com fuge light with a hanging kit. Its dimmable which helps a lot if its too bright and its Apex ready. I haven't decided if I want to purchase a new controller and sell the one I have or not yet.
