I'm in the very early planning stages for a new tank. The spot I have for it is only about 40" wide so a 4 foot tank will not work. I know all the advantages of a 4 foot tank over a 3 foot tank but I've come to the conclusion this is my only viable option for placement. I am wanting to find a 36"x 24"x 24" tank or something very close to those dimensions which will be around 100 gallons. I would also like a more discrete overflow like the ghost or a smaller center back overflow. I would rather stay away from a single corner overflow. I don't mind buying a stock tank and adding an overflow but I can't seem to even find any stock tanks that are these dimensions. Looking for ideas not actual tanks so this can stay out of the sale forum. If you do have a tank please PM me and keep that out of here.
TIA, Chris

What about a 36x36x24 or 30 cube? Would be great dimensions and fit in your spot. I absolutely love my 93 cube. It is 30x30x24. You are welcome to come check it out if you would like. I have cold beer and by your avatar we would get along just fine.

I love the 57 gallon systems but the perfect tank for me is a 36" x 24" x 24" tank.... Heck I've been begging @Dowtish for him to sell me his 57 gallon.

Paul,
I have thought about a cube. My last tank was a 70 cube (same dimensions as yours just taller) and I liked it but I would rather have one with more frontage. Where I will put this tank only the front will be viewable. Thanks for the invite :) I'm guessing you like to catch fish as well as keep them!

Rob,
I have thought about the Red Sea 57 gallon and I like them a lot. Especially the part about them being planned and plumbed so I would only have to add a pump etc... but I would rather have a bit larger tank as I want a couple of fish I wouldn't feel comfortable keeping in a 57.

If I can't find what I'm looking for I might get one of the two tanks you guys mentioned but I'm hoping I can find one of the dimensions I want. I may have to break down and have one built. I know there was at least one manufacturer that built a tank of similar dimensions but I don't think they make it any more.

thanks guys

Also I forgot to mention the deepest (front to back) I want the tank is 24". Here is a pick of my last cube. When I set it up I almost immediately wished I would have made it a 93 instead of a 70. But I had just taken down a 120 and wanted a significantly smaller tank at the time.

By the looks of your last cube (tank in general) I don't think out can go wrong.

I love cubes and will be downsizing from my 180 down to a 93 cube.

Best of luck.

I'm going to pick this one up Sunday!

Not exactly the dimensions I was looking for but very close (70 gallon 36x20x22) and lots of nice things come with it. A little TLC and I should be able to make something nice. I will probably build a new stand with more room under it.

Not looking forward to this weekend though.

Well yes I am I'm getting a "new" tank but working Saturday and then running to East TN and back It won't be a restful couple of days. And then of course I'll be doing a lot of tank cleaning and vinegar soaking after that. I think it will be worth it though :)

Chris,
I'd offer to bring it to you but probably won't come to Nashville again until December. Doubt you want to wait that long. Best of luck with the new tank and definitely re-do that stand LOL.

Dave

Thanks Dave! I doubt the gentleman that's selling would want to wait that long either :)

The 30 has come along nicely and I have outgrown it, as you know about all too well. Looks like I have the bug again. You would think I would have learned by now.
