Looking for an internal pump for my 30gal cube. I'm restarting it and attempting to silence it as well as make it more economical. It's drilled and overflowed and the return runs through a SQWD device. The old pump was a Pan World 30Px (590gph). I may want to slow the flow through the sump somewhat. Also the pumps fan runs a little louder than what I would like now. Would like something silent, low heat producing and small footprint.

I was looking at the Sicce Syncra pumps, not sure of which one though;1.5 or 2.0.

Any thoughts on those pumps or any others that I may be overlooking?

Thanks

I've never used the Sicce syncra pumps, but some others that you may want to look into that are pretty energy efficient and low heat producing are the eheim pumps and the QuietOne pumps. Both have a pretty small footprint as well.

Sicce syncra, marineland,or eheim are all great choices.I would suggest the tunze as well but the syncra is the same pump with a lower pricetag.I run a syncra 3.0 and it is a great pump.you could probably use a 2.5 and be set since the flow is adjustable.
