I am running 2 led Cree 120 w lights but not getting the growth I want. I had some really nice china full spectrum led lights but the burnd out already so put back first set of lights (ps get what you pay for) so I was thinking of going back to the old faithful t5 ati power 6 bulb dimmable. Looking forward to any and all ideas

Im betting the power supply burned up on your other units, get that back and your squared away.
I've heard of people going back to Halides from LED, but not to T5s.

I'd totally put my vote for the ATI T5's for growth and even coverage as well. Maybe supplement with stunners if you can't live without the LED shimmer.

If you aren't getting coral growth under Cree leds, you either don't have enough (possible but unlikely... you didn't tell us how big the tank is) or something else is wrong in your tank. I've had Chinese leds for over a year now (4 tanks) and coral growth is great on all 4 (2 with lots of sps). The failed led is probably a driver and the manufacturer should replace it free, but even if you have to buy one, they are dirt cheap and easy to install.

Maxi r420r razor is what I'm ordering next 2 week 120 watt 16k which I have a Chinese fixture over my cube I want a timer for mine

Maxspect razors have been excellent on my 90 gal tank. Highly recommended.

OceanRevive now has an inexpensive fixture ($199) that has 2 built-in timers and digital dimmers for much more accurate power settings. It's not a controller, but for $199 it's a lot better than the old dimmer knobs and after market add on timers. Oh, and it only has ONE power cord! I can't wait for them to get here.

I have had good results with razors as well. Had a 160w over a 70H mixed. Wouldn't have minded a bit more wattage though.
