Looking for powerhead

Hi all! I need to get a powerhead for my new tank, since the stock pump isn’t able to give the proper flow. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations that won’t crap out on me. It is 50 gallons, the dimensions are 35.4"×19.7"×17.7", and I am currently running a Sicce 2.0 return pump. I would like to grow mostly LPS and softies. I also have 2 anemones I have to be cautious of, but I can 3D print some nem guards

you can't go wrong with a gyre! I use a maxspect 4k in my frag tank, and 2x jebao SCP 70s in my display. I've linked them below because I am happy with both. They create a great sheeting flow of water, and there are many options depending on your budget and desire for app control, etc.

Would you say that 1 Jebao would be enough? Also, would I have to worry abt anemones jumping into it, since it’s a gyre vs a regular one?

I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews and so I am pretty cautious around them. I’ve heard that they’re pretty much good for a year or 2 than they crap out. Does your experience differ?

My only issue with MP10s is their price tag. Unfortunately I can’t justify spending right around 700 on powerheads alone, especially since my light was only 430

Jebao ow 40 would be a good choice. Good price and the controller gives you options.
I like the controller better than my Tunze.

it should be fine, maybe get one size up if you’ll only have 1. Any powerhead will be a problem for anemones if they decide to go for a hike.

Sounds like you want Jebao's for cost - which are fine. I have had good reliability from the original RW/PP series. I think the SW and SOW are similar only pure sine wave. I would use two "8" size units (RW/SW/SOW) for a 36" tank to get some back and forth action. You could also go with the newer SLW. I would go with two SLW-20's. They mimic the Nero's and give a broader gentler flow which is good for softies, but they are newer, and I am unsure of their reliability. They also cannot be directed - only perpendicular to the glass. Agree that if you are only going with one powerhead you should upsize one size.

I would not go with the SLW. The other models are more durable and they offer no way to direct the flow of you want to tweak it. Jmo

I have the same scp setup in my display. They're great.
