Looking for purple duncan

I'm looking for a really nice purple duncan frag or colony. I would also appreciate recommendations on where to get it if nobody on here has any.

Never heard of that before. I'll have to google this. I've seen a yellow hammer now those are awesome.

Do they even exist then or am I chasing a ghost? I'm newer to the reef hobby so maybe I've been misinformed.

Pretty sure duncans are brown or green that's it. But u never know what's out there seeing as how new crazy corals pop up all the time

There are ones that have more purple. I'd never heard of one so I googled it. It appears there are duncuns that have more purple than others. But I wouldn't describe them as purple.

All the small heads on my colony start purple and turn green as the grow to get more light.

So they're only purple until they mature?

I think it has to do with the development/settlement of the zooxanthellae.
