I'm thinking of getting a few rare BTA's to start propagating them for my local fish stores and reefers.
What BTAs do you guys have on here that are for sale??

Congrats on the spotted mandarin or the psychedelic mandarin...whichever you prefer. Make sure you have plenty of pods
Like this...color varies in anything though different lighting etc it's a 130$ anemone

I would start with the basic RBTA 'till you get your propagation system/methods running smoothly. Why start out risking big $?

Here's my BTA prop set up. I'm still working things out before I buy the high end nems:

Very good idea, I've been keeping RBTA for a little while but I'm just now getting into propagating them. I've been following your build since day one haha! Your build is so nice! I plan to use my 75 gallon frag tank for mine.
I'm hoping to just find some connections for when I do get ready for the expensive ones:)

Like I mentioned been selling my propagated ones since late 80s LFS buy them and I have sold to businesses across the us. Been told by them many times mine are the best they have ever seen. The one they are calling rainbow are no different than mine with rose, green, and opaque white. My liniage is over twenty five years old. I can put a common marketing hype name on them and knock the price up to $350 with no problems whatsoever.

Please do, would love to meet you. The two stores in Sonoma County that sell reef stuff are not worth your time. When you come I'll look you up with the best places to visit. I just threw a nice one in my new display tank. I'll take some nice shots tonight and post. I have 4 color morphs of the rose all originally from the Solomon Islands.

figures no decent stores in sonoma, but the next time I head to the bay, Id love to stop by. youve probably got some other goodies as well.
What are youre fav shops in the bay area?

sorry OP not trying to derail your thread.

whos got a nice sunburst, lemondrop or inferno for this guy?!

It's all good haha I'm not worried about it.
But one the real who has some nice nems lol.

I'm honestly not sure yet. Either one will work for me, I just want to have a nice variety of nems.

Did you start your system up yet?
I did! I turned half of my frag tank into the anemone area for now. I took your advice and decided to start out with just the standard RBTAs. I picked up a three RBTAs from some local reefers and they are doing awesome so far. I also have a RBTA that never bubbles up but looks really nice. She actually split naturally two days ago so now I have two! I'm officially addicted to anemones, if the next few weeks go well with these guys I'll pick up a couple more variations.

Here are a couple quick pics
I'm going to take the clowns out soon so the nems are not always being harassed. I just feel bad separating them from their home until I have get a new home for them in my display. When I do separate them, they always find their way back into the basket so I gave up for now haha.
