Hi,

In search for a reef sensei to help me get crazy growth from corals. Below I've attached my tanks parameters. I am not too happy with them as I feel like everything is low. I plan on adding kalkwasser to ATO to buff up ALk and PH. As far as nitrates and phosphates I need help because I don't understand the relationship between the two. I know that my nitrates are low and my phosphates are high, but aren't they correlated? I am at going to feed heavy to get the nitrates higher but wont the phosphates inevitably get higher too? Also I have red cyano that I used chemiclean for but it was like 3 plus years old and did not seem to affect it. Let me know what you think for some guidance

Thank you in advance,

First and foremost, what size is your tank, how long has it been up and running, what kind of reef inhabitants do you have and have you actually added corals yet? Is this going to be a mixed reef, ie: soft, LPS, SPS?

Second, alkalinity, calcium and magnesium are also parameters you will need to test occasionally with corals - and pH can and does vary during the day (swings of 7.8-8.0 with most test kits aren't unusual).

20 Gallon Rea Sea Nano Max
4 years running
I had a lot of coral huge mixed reef
Lots of high end bounce mushrooms and growth was decent.
Never fed my fish or the tank much like every 3-5 days.
This stunted growth I achieved the most growth when I went away for a month with the tank on auto feed and i now feed every day.
I've moved alot recntly so I let alot of things die off.
Recently invested in 3 high end bounces looking to stabilize and grow
