I bought some chalice and favia frags. All are doing well and coloring up real nice. My question is should I leave them on the frag disks till they get bigger or should I place them on the scape? I just don't want to injure them. What does everyone else do? Thanks...

Its a personal taste really. For me, I remove then from the plugs if I have a nice spot picked out for them on the rock work. Most of them, if not encrusted, are just glued with super glue, so jam a screwdriver or something flat under there and pop it off....carefully of course

I haven't heard that Skinz...is that true? I thought most of them were made out of ceramic or clay. Does that leak PO4 into our tanks?

there is no money in selling a frag plug lol, just look at pics of peoples frag racks almost all of them are algae covered, unglazed clay is porous (why your supposed to throw out cracked plates and cups) Im surprised nobody ever made glass plugs

When I was going to start seriously propagating zoas, I was going to try to grow out on glass pieces. Just think how easy it would be to take a razor and pull the mat off the glass. Then you could easily glue it straight down to a piece of rubble rock. Anyone ever try this?

actually thats a great idea, i have a buddy that does glass blowing.....hmmmm i might have to tlak to him!!
