looking for some input on what you think this might be. This has happened twice in the past few weeks with my Hippo. It is not white but instead looks more like chaeto. ( I had some break loose from fuge recently) anyway the last time it happened it passed pretty quickly. Not sure what to think of it. It's like he's just clogged up and can't pass it or mabye digest it. He is acting fine . Passed a pretty big chunk of it a while ago but still has a few strings hanging. Not sure what to do. Humblefish helped me through it a few weeks ago. Has anyone ever had this happen?

Refresh my memory ... Have you tried feeding a peeled boiled pea to help him get regular again? ;)

It almost looks like he's having trouble digesting the algae he eats.

P.S. Do you have sand in your tank?

Yes I do have sand and he does occasionally get it on him normally freaks me out makes me think the worst. I will try the pea thing. I think Dr Tims has some. Seems to have passed it again and is eating Sea Veggies now. I feed them this nightly.

I would try adding some probiotics to his diet. I don't often recommend a vendor to advise, but I trust @ReefFrenzy and feel he can recommend one of his products which contains the suitable food(s) your tang needs for this situation.

I actually fed a little last night. I only feed that about once a week, but I can feed it more. Their diet is PE mysis 3 times daily and JS sea veggies nightly. With the LRS once in a while
