Looking for some info on shrimp and gobies

I have an emerald that's been making me mad and he's honestly just huge. I have a ywg and was looking for a shrimp to pair it with once I get rid of the crab but I've heard pistol shrimps can break glass

Okay thank you! I do have a bit of a smaller tank and wasn't so sure

You can, but you don't have to pair a Pistol Shrimp with a Yellow Watchman Goby. One of my regrets is getting a Pistol Shrimp, they burrow under your rocks and pile sand in places you don't want. They tend to remodel your tank much the same way as a Diamond Goby does. Also mine loves the taste of Emerald Crab, so that will actually take care of that Emerald Crab you don't like.

BTW, that LOUD clicking sound they make that sounds like a pistol going off, gets annoying real fast.

I have a pistol shrimp, I think you should get it. While they can remodel the sand, they get settled fairly quickly. I don’t mind the popping, because mine is fairly peaceful and does not do it as much. I would warn that they can be very aggressive, or not, no ray of knowing. Do keep in mind also that there is a chance they won’t pair. I think if you get a good shrimp you will love him, otherwise…
