Looking for some Sump Advice

Hello there. So I’ve got a 47” x 24”, 3 chamber advanced acrylics sump. Middle section is approx 25” x 24”. I moved my skimmer out of the second chamber into the first where the overflow / filter socks go. Middle chamber is for rectors (if/when needed) and maybe a refugium. Question is. If I do use it for a fuge, should I split it?
