I wanted to reach out and see what everyone is using for tanks. I’m looking to upgrade from my RedSea E-170 which is a 45gal to something between 100 and 120gal. I’m not sure I want to stay with RedSea and go like the Reefer route as trying to customize the sump options is a pain with trying to convert everything from metric. Which I have don’t with my E-170. I also don’t want to pay for a sump I’m not planning on using. I’m looking for something solid that I can add to and flex the way I want.

Maybe I’m being to difficult but want to put it out there and see what people are using.

The redsea reefers seem like great setup. I dont have one personally but but have seen a bunch and have been really impressed by the quality.

Lots of options out there like Reef Savvy, Miracles, Glasscages, SC Aquariums, Marineland, just to name a few. I’m currently setting up a Aqaurium Warehouse tank.

I am partial to Innovative Marine....also I agree the Red Sea Reefer looks like a good solid aquarium too...

That is a great way to shop for a setup.

I would guess it boils down to cost, I paid under 300 for tank and another 400 for stand and 350 sump so total $1050 or 1100, compared to $2500 that leaves a lot of flexibility to upgrade tank [ glass or overflow ] or stand , lights ect. good luck
