so i was just researching and found out deep blue is out of business. i had been eyeing their 80gallon reef ready 48x24x16.

looking for a reef ready alternative to this tank i’m open to bumping the specs up to 48x 30 w x19h

just looking for something drilled and shallow

i have not looked into getting a custom tank made but i’m open to suggestions

also mods please move thread if not in the right spot

For that sized tank, look at Glass Cages. They do custom for about the same price as an off the shelf. If going big, I wouldn't recommend them, but with your size, they'd do the job nicely

The Deep Blue brand no longer exists, the same company is making the same tanks from IIRC the same factory under the Seapora name. Ask your LFS about them.

That being said, if you find someone who makes a 48x 30 w x19h please post the manufacturer. I'd find that very interesting.......

i unfortunately don’t really have a lfs as i’m in a weird spot in nh , i tried googling seapora and could not find anything on a 80 rr

Seapora makes the exact same tank that Deep blue used to.. but I'll do my usual thing and offer the custom route, can't beat a custom tank that is exactly what you want.

FWIW I believe Waterbox's new frag series fall right into those dimensions as well...

Yeah, their web presence is bad. The only reason I know this is because this is what my former Deep Blue selling LFS told me. They have Seapora 48x24x16 tanks in stock now. (though unfortunately for you they are in VA :( )

i’m not that desperate yet but i might have to get ready for a road trip

Yes they certainly aren't cheap, BUT they come with the stand and sump as well which isn't soo bad :) I'm a custom kindof guy myself but once you add the stand and sump you can creep back into the Waterbox price range... so if you're not looking for truly custom dimensions it might be the cheaper route in the end. And not that I entirely support it but you can get financing through I think Bread or Affirm as well. Something no custom or other manufacturers offer...

Yup, 105.3. Comes with a sump, and it looks very nice - as good maybe better than the Red Sea Reefers. They want $1900 for it though. The Deep Blues/Seapora are pretty basic and cookie cutter, but they were like $550-800 with pretty basic but functional stand (forget the price OTOH. When that LFS is trying to clear them out it goes down to $550).
