Looking for VERY Rare Macroalgae

I am a big fan of macroalgae, especially some of the rarer varieties. However, from California, I have struggled to find sources for the following algae:

Brown:
- Blue scroll
- Dictyota (yes, really)
- Turbinaria

Green:
- Acetabularia
- Batophora
- Bornetella
- Caulerpa serrulata
- Chlorodesmis (wasn’t this once really popular?)
- Neomeris

Red:
- Acanthophora spicifera
- Cryptonemia crenulata
- Gracilaria salicornia
- Haliptilon
- Plating Coralline
- Rhodopeltis
- Solieria

Does anyone know where to obtain these/would be willing to share or sell?

Agreed. Gulf coast ecosystems has high quality stuff and great prices. Their gorgs are nice too.

I actually received some Dragon’s breath and massive Red grape algae from Gulf Coast Ecosystems (live-plants.com)! Hoped they can get some Neomeris or Cryptonemia crenulata in soon, but I have never seen them in stock, ever since I discovered the website years ago (maybe I missed it).

I can try to get one. Cleaned it out recently but forgot about the powerhead and noticed got a bunch on there still lol.

Mine is the ultra rare brown dictoya i call it the Holy Grail Dictoya and normally sell for $499 per 1/2", but I am feeling generous and can give you a 100% discount.

I think many of their offerings are seasonal. Maybe that's why? I'm sure he could tell you if it's possible to get some

I thought someone said that was Lobophora algae on your thread. Turbinaria has a stipe with spiny blades while Lobophora encrusts and plates. Lobophora is still a fantastic algae though and I am still interested!

Turbinaria is the absolute devil. There's tons of it invading the reefs in the Pacific islands (especially in HI) and it's so sharp/uncomfortable to come in contact with but the stuff is unavailable in shallow water.

Halimeda is horrific in Guam and absolutely choking out coral into piles of bleached calcium carbonate.

So sad.
